The University of Birmingham Islamic Society was founded in the mid 1950s - serving the Muslim students at the University of Birmingham for over 60 years.

With the launch of our Alumni Network in January 2018, the Islamic Society is looking to record it's extensive history so that we can learn from the past. Currently we've worked on reconnecting with Alumni from the past decades which has been quite successful and has enabled us to produce timelines for both the Head Brothers and Head Sisters.

We hope to continue this work to produce a detailed history of the Islamic Society, both graphically and textually. This page will be updated in more detail as that happens. If you have any knowledge you'd like to share with us, we would love for you to get in touch. Just check out the contact details below.
